In 7th grade science, teacher was having the class vote on what kind of animal to dissect. He presented the options: worm, frog, or small shark. I raised my hand and proposed that instead of those boring choices, the entire class should chip in so we can adopt and dissect a baby. No one laughed. :(

Bush's approval ratings are slipping because he's not showing Americans what they want. They don't want to hear about war politics, they want to see blood -- he sold us a war and he hasn't delivered the gore! Maybe he plans to revive support by firing on the RNC protestors in Manhattan come August?

The U.S. service person death toll in the latest Iraq war has totalled 700. Though previously blamed on Saddam loyalists and al-Qaeda, the renewed resistance to U.S. occupation would seem to be the start of a general uprising. Perhaps the Iraqi lung just can't handle breathing our brand of free air. [link]

Car's getting its struts replaced, got fixed up with a loaner--a 2002 C240 sedan. Thought I'd be happy to play with a "better" car, but it's disappointing me in so many ways. Car companies must take losses on their entry level cars so that you'll buy their money cars once it's time to "upgrade". [link]

Last June, the White House threatened to fire the Medicare actuary if he revealed the Medicare bill's true cost to the House--$100 billion higher than the President's $400 billion figure.
